PSIO21002 Fundamentals of Pre-clinical Physiotherapy

Course details

This course encompasses the theory and practice of a range of fundamental physiotherapy techniques, such as joint range measurement, manual muscle testing, manual handling, exercise, cryotherapy and heat therapy, massage and taping with consideration of the relevance of these practical techniques to clinical presentations and physiotherapy practice. Through their exploration of the practical aspects of physiotherapy practice, students are also required to comply with the Physiotherapy Code of Conduct and Australian Standards for Physiotherapy as well as practising safely as a professional.
