COMM12016 Media Industries

Course details

This course aims to provide students with a range of perspectives on Australian media industries. It analyses contemporary and political contexts, important issues such as media ownership and diversity, courses and independence, as well as identifying professional and technological changes in media practices and organisations. The course encourages an understanding of the institutions and industries in which media practitioners work, and promotes student research and writing skills in order to further their training and awareness.
