FINC23001 Shari'ah Financial Rules

Course details

Students who successfully complete this course will understand and be able to interpret the Shari�ah rules as they apply to the most widely used Islamic commercial transactions. They will be able to research and analyse Shari�ah precedents and pronouncements and critically apply the Shari�ah rules to various proposed financial transactions, propose creative solutions to ensure proposed financial transactions meet the requirements of Shari�ah rules, analyse, assess and critique solutions created/proposed by others in the contexts of either an Islamic or Western economic setting, and justify and communicate the implications of competing solutions to clients, management and other stakeholders in a balanced, ethical and professional manner.
