NHPE20003 Clinicians as Reflective Practitioners

Course details

This course explores a range of approaches to judgement, clinical reasoning and decision-making from analytical and reflective perspectives. The aim is to enable students to articulate the tools and processes they use as experienced clinicians. In their role as preceptors/supervisors/mentors, students will utilise their own clinical decision-making skills and build upon their capacity to recognise and enact teachable moments in clinical settings. Students will also be called upon to reflect on and expand their understanding of reflection in clinical practice and its application in health professional education.
