INDG11014 Family History and Australian Identity

Course details

This course is designed for students with an interest in identity, in particular, in their own family history. The course explores the construction of personal, family and community identity through facilitating student awareness of the resources and methods available to search family history. As many people have mixed heritage the course provides an understanding and appreciation of blended histories and an exploration of the civilizations that have enriched the cultural heritage of Australia.
