FINC21003 Shari'ah Economics

Course details

Students who successfully complete this course will understand and be able to describe the various aspects of Shari’ah economics including the relevance of the Islamic worldview regarding consumption, production and money. They will be able to compare and contrast Islamic and Western concepts of economics; analyse and interpret contemporary academic and popular media commentary on Islamic economics; and reflect upon Islamic economic principles issues in the context of a Western economic setting including the relevance of ethical and professional practice.
