COIT20232 Security Infrastructure Administration

Course details

This security-focused course examines system and network service planning and administration. Students extend their technical skills by learning how to design and implement core technical infrastructure. Other topics in the course include managing computer servers, implementing network services, deploying and managing system and network software, designing and applying security policy and the development of administration policies and procedures. Students are equipped with the knowledge and resources required to respond to emerging organisational needs and to be able to assess and select infrastructure technologies fit for purpose. An operating system environment is used to provide a practical platform for students to apply and demonstrate knowledge.
