Course details

Increasing numbers of tourists are seeking nature-based tourism experiences. This course provides a conceptual basis for understanding sound professional practice in the development and management of nature-based tourism opportunities. This course deals with tourism in natural settings, from environmental management and marketing perspectives. It includes an examination of the scope of `nature-based¿ tourism and its environmental impacts and the management of those impacts. The course examines the effective management and implementation of a variety of nature based opportunities underpinned by the philosophy of sustainability.
