FINC23001 Shari'ah Financial Rules

Course details

Students who successfully complete this course will understand and be able to interpret the Shari’ah rules as they apply to the most widely used Islamic commercial transactions. They will be able to research and analyse Shari’ah precedents and pronouncements and critically apply the Shari’ah rules to various proposed financial transactions, propose creative solutions to ensure proposed financial transactions meet the requirements of Shari’ah rules, analyse, assess and critique solutions created/proposed by others in the contexts of either an Islamic or Western economic setting, and justify and communicate the implications of competing solutions to clients, management and other stakeholders in a balanced, ethical and professional manner.
