Course details
As the first course of the intermediate second year level in this series, this course continues the systematic progression of the ideas and expressive practicum in the realisation of theatre performance, with students undertaking more complex activities according to their specialisations in either Music Theatre , Drama or Technical Theatre. Students in Music Theatre will concentrate on synthesizing the three areas of acting, music and dance, in exercises designed to establish the basics of harnessing and focussing the student expressive ability through self-awareness and examining the concept of 'choice'.
Students in Drama will concentrate on synthesizing the three areas of acting, voice and movement, in exercises designed to establish the basics of harnessing and focussing the student expressive ability through self-awareness and examining the concept of 'choice'.
Students in the Technical Theatre specialisation will explore stage lighting from the standpoint of aesthetics and the practical execution of the design concept.
