This course will concentrate on the theory and practice of effective Human Resources Management. Many organisations today are facing a crisis in productivity and international trade competition that is threatening their very survival. Coupled with this challenge is the demand that organisations deliver an increased quality of work life to employees and comply with an intricate and complex set of laws, regulations and court decisions. The aim of this course is to explore the various HRM functions of planning, staffing and appraising, compensating, improving, establishing and maintaining, and to fully appreciate their inter-relationship and impact on the achievement of organisational objectives, strategies and long-term economic survival.
