PHYS13193 Oscillations and Waves

Course details

This course provides a detailed treatment of simple oscillatory systems, transverse and longitudinal wave motion and the use of Fourier methods for waveform analysis. It also incorporates a more formal presentation of the theory of electromagnetic waves. The underlying concepts introduced in this course recur in many areas of physics and examples will be drawn from a range of applications.
