PERF20033 Cultural Entrepreneurship

Course details

This course focuses on the role of entrepreneurship in the administration and presentation of cultural events and promotions and on the generation and design of cultural packages for tourism which express national identity. This involves the advocacy of arts products which authentically reflect the culture of a destination including lifestyle, heritage, and industrial activity that promote an understanding of a culture. The course aims to develop an appreciation of the essential characteristics of culture including people and their lifestyles, history and artefacts, and cultural diversity in order for the arts administrator to advocate and promote the creative arts with the development of critical and creative thinking appropriate for the attainment of the Masters degree.
