Course details
Simply put, cognitive psychology is the study of how the mind functions. It encompasses the acquisition, organization, and retrieval of knowledge. This course provides a historical overview of the major theories in cognitive psychology and focuses on research into human information processing. Examples include pattern recognition, attention, memory codes, visual imagery, semantic categorization, and problem solving. It is a requirement of this enrolment that students have access to the CQU website via the Internet.
