ENVH11001 Health and the Environment

Course details

This course will introduce the student to the concept of environmental determinants of health and the need to protect people from hazards in the environment that pose a risk to health. Students will study the links between good health and the state of the environment, particularly those between the environment and society, economics and environment, politics and environment and environmental health development. Students will develop an appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of environmental health issues and the interaction between human lifestyles, consumption patterns, urbanisation and health. It is a requirement of this course to have access to the CQU website and the internet.
