The Project Management Institute estimates that one-fifth of the world's gross domestic product is spent on project and a huge demand exists globally for skilled project managers.
Project and Program Management
The Graduate Certificate in Project and Program Management is a specialist program for project managers in the resources and infrastructure industries. It focuses on the application of project principles to reflect uncertainty and change in those industries. The program develops the skills to meet project goals and as a result allows project managers to make decisions that achieve project targets and outcomes. It adopts a systems approach to the application of project processes and highlights the integration of input and output systems with a project clients' needs. The qualification consists of three courses and provides practicing project managers and directors with the technical skills to run projects in the most challenging resources and infrastructure environments. Case studies and practical material are embedded within the program to illustrate how the concepts of project management meet industry demands. Graduates will be able to demonstrate that they have a comprehensive understanding and the ability to run resource and infrastructure projects. Candidates with relevant project experience and who can demonstrate the capacity to work at a postgraduate level are eligible for admission to this program.
