About Professional Communication

This degree aims to produce graduates who can communicate effectively within an organisational environment, specifically within a corporate communication or public affairs context.  Public relations is fundamental to modern management practice.  It is as relative to community, non-profit, and government sectors as it is to the corporate and private sector.  Organisations depend on public relations professionals to devise and implement strategies for effective creation and maintenance of an appropriate public profile, employee relations, reputation and crisis management.  This three year degree is designed so that graduates will be able to write, analyse, research and evaluate results within a public relations context.  Our professional communication program also incorporates journalism courses and many of our graduates also find employment as journalists or media professionals.
