OCHS12001 Introductory Occupational Health and Safety

Course details

This course examines the history and development of occupational health and safety as a discipline. The legislation governing workplace health & safety in Queensland will be introduced and the cost of occupational injury and disease discussed within the context of the key discipline areas. Case studies will be used to demonstrate the multiple causes of accidents. Students develop skills in preparation for conducting occupational health and safety surveys.
