SOWK14010 Integrating Theory and Practice 2

Course details

Students should be able to evaluate social work theory and practice knowledge, skills and attributes and create their own professional practice framework consistent with formal Australian Association of Social Workers¿ (AASW) practice standards and ethics. The production of a portfolio for future employment and ongoing professional development is a significant part of this framework for social work practice.

The student will be required to participate in call back processes during placement time and to provide evidence of reflective practice that evaluates the theoretical constructs that inform their practice.

Attendance at the relevant residential and participation in designated call back sessions during placement are a requirement for this course.
