ENAR12010 Mine Product Handling

Course details

This course is an introduction to mine product handling for most mining and mineral industries. It prepares students to determine physical properties of bulk solids and use the particle, and bulk properties in the design and analysis of different mine handling operation. Students are expected to develop an understanding of mine product handling systems taking account flow rate, segregation and wall pressure. Techniques used to calculate the relevant design, and operating parameters in the feeding, discharge, mechanical and pneumatic conveying will be considered. Also students will develop an understanding of design of the dust extraction systems and the treatment of dust.
