Course details

This course introduces the concept of Learning Management and examines the fundamentals of learning management practices. It provides 'student learning managers' with foundation knowledge and 'tools' for designing and implementing learning strategies so as to achieve student learning outcomes in schools and other learning sites. The course responds to the contemporary 21st Century environment within which individuals and organisations must survive, grow, improve, transform and learn continuously. It provides student learning managers with the foundations for specialist expertise to perform the learning management role in a variety of settings in a changing world context. The course specifically focuses on the Learning Design Process and introduces the student to Dimensions of Learning research. Students also examine the elements that impact on the work of teachers and the notion of schooling in the 2000 era for points of reference.
