THTR20001 Writing Words for the Stage 1

Course details

This course requires students to undertake an in-depth examination of structure, dramatic action, dialogue, adaptation, prosody, rhyme, character and lyric fundamentals. Students should demonstrate a structured analysis of developing outlines (also referred to as 'treatments'). The process of outlining will then be considered in terms of the collaborative process and how prosody and rhyme impacts musical time.

Some components of this course will be delivered in workshop format. Students will be required to attend these to complete the course.
