ENEG11004 Engineering Skills 1B

Course details

This course provides opportunities to develop fundamental knowledge, skills and attitudes introduced in Engineering Skills 1A. It extends students professional knowledge, skills and attitudes required for team work, self and team management. Students develop learning skills and are involved in problem solving, research, and the use of information and communication technologies. The course introduces students to modelling/simulation tools, common engineering materials, manufacturing processes, principles of workplace health and safety, and project risk assessment. The socio-technical role of the professional engineer, the nature of engineering design, and uses of fundamental engineering language in context are included in this course.
