ALLH11001 Introduction to Allied Health Practice

Course details

This course develops students¿ ability to describe the professional roles of Allied Health Practitioners within the Australian Health care context and develop an understanding of behaviours expected. In addition they will become familiar with contemporary models of health care including client centred care and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). Students should be able to explain the legislative requirements and best practice approaches to Occupational Health and Safety in the healthcare setting. During residential school students will learn to monitor their own work practices to ensure that they reflect principles of legal and ethical practice including documentation and confidentiality
