MEDS12001 Physics of Ultrasound

Course details

The principles of ultrasound physics and instrumentation are introduced in this course. Quality Assurance and recognition of artefacts are also covered. Knowledge and skills learnt from this course are integral to all doppler subsequent sonography courses and the foundation from which the students will build their image acquisition, recognition and assessment skills. Students will apply knowledge and skills of physics principles in the laboratory setting using ultrasound equipment.
