Course details
Professional Internship provides international students undertaking the Professional Year Program with experience in a professional environment within the Australian workforce relevant to their chosen discipline. The process of mixing study with practical experience helps students appreciate the relevance of material presented during discipline studies and allows them to further expand their professional knowledge and work-readiness with practical experience.
Students will be engaged in work-integrated learning (WIL) while being supported by the faculty. Students will document and reflect on their work placement experiences: assess professional growth, together with strengths and weaknesses and develop an action plan for future professional development. Students will document their development of technical knowledge, professional communication skills and also their understandings of Australian workplace culture.
