COMM11009 Contemporary Communication Skills

Course details

This course is designed to develop students' practical communication skills -- written, oral and interpersonal -- and students' experience in problem- solving in situations similar to those facing communication professionals in the 'real world'. It also develops skills in 'information literacy' (finding and evaluating information) of the kind needed by those working in fields such as public relations and journalism. This course helps students understand their present strengths and interests in order to determine what future courses will contribute best to their development as communication professionals. NOTE: It is recommended that students enrol in Contemporary Communication Skills in the first year of their studies.
