Course details

This second course in the law of tort(s) covers the remainder of the topics, concepts and principles, in Anglo-Australian tort law. It concerns civil wrongs as developed by the common law; yet increasingly supplemented by the Legislation State. The course has a three-part structure. The first topic is the tort of defamation. Secondly, the tort of negligence as amended by legislation Australia-wide in 2002-2003. Finally, the value of economic torts whose effectiveness was significantly enhanced by the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth).
