ENEE13017 Signal Processing Systems

Course details

In this course, students apply principles of digital and analogue electronics to solve problems involving industrial electronics. They analyse transistor power switching and industrial interfaces and design and build power supplies. Students explain the operation and selection of Field Programmable Gate Arrays and Programmable Logic Devices to suit particular applications. They use standard hardware description language (VHDL code) to control industrial machines. Students present their analyses and designs clearly using standard terminology, symbols and diagrams. They are required to show they work productively, both individually and collaboratively, to solve problems, and document and communicate their work clearly in a professional manner. Distance education (Flex) students will be required to attend a residential school to promote development of course learning outcomes.
