EDCU12037 Global Science

Course details

In this course students will acquire scientific knowledge about aspects of the natural world. Through experimentation and investigation, students will engage with biology (living systems, life cycles, natural systems, ecosystems and input of humans), materials (particles, states of matter, materials and their uses, changes), geology and astronomy (weather and climate, structure of each and atmosphere, using Earth's resources, solar system, stars and galaxies), and energy and change (forces, motion, gravity (planets and tides), energy, electricity and magnetism, static/electric circuits, waves). Consequently, students will construct their scientific knowledge through working scientifically, that is, learn about science through doing science. This will enable students to apply an enhanced scientific knowledge to their teaching of science in the classroom.
