ENEG14004 Professional Service Practice

Course details

Students who engage in professional service activities may submit a portfolio of evidence of such activities for assessment and obtain credit for their voluntary professional service practice. Students must show that they have developed competencies needed to successfully participate in professional service activities; analysed the impact of their activities on stakeholders; and developed a personal perception of issues and culture of professional engineering. They appraise achievements in team and group work; discuss community perceptions of engineering and the role of engineering in society; articulate the effect of their service activities on personal, academic and professional life; and develop skills in advocacy. Students articulate rewards of their volunteer work and demonstrate development of interpersonal and communication knowledge and skills.
