EDED13431 Competence in English

Course details

This course addresses the need for learning managers to be competent in their use of Standard English. The course explores the basic elements of language and their functions and inter-relationships, as well as the language one uses to talk about language. Students will examine the linguistic features of texts in order to develop competence that can enhance their everyday language use and the production of texts in a range of professional learning contexts, including instruction in classrooms.
