EDED11452 Visual Learning and Innovation

Course details

Students will reflect upon the importance of the Visual Arts as a communication form used to construct and access meaning across social, cultural and historical contexts. Through exploration of the role visual art products have in generating change and innovation, students will develop skills to interpret the content of visual art works to become aware of audience, purpose and ideological implications. Engagement in practical workshops will allow students to learn to apply creative processes in the visual arts and media languages. This will allow students to communicate to an audience and consider possibilities for meaningful inclusion of visual literacy skills as a vehicle for meaning making.
