NURS11152 Professional Communication for Nurses

Course details

Effective communication is fundamental in all aspects of nursing practice. This course should enable students to develop and build on their own knowledge and skills to communicate effectively and with confidence in their professional practice. Students should be able to reflect on a number of aspects of communication in nursing practice including the influence of culture, therapeutic relationships and teamwork. Finally students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the written and verbal communications within a team environment.

Participation in the tutorial sessions is compulsory for internal students and participation in the online tutorial and residential school is compulsory for flex students.
