Course details

Students should be able to evaluate the main paradigms and theoretical perspectives on which social science research is largely founded, with particular relevance to a potential Honours research dissertation. The main focus is on methodologies that are generally used to structure investigations into social issues and phenomena associated with the development and delivery of human services and the ethical and validity issues involved. Students should gain experience in the development of research topics and the use of selected methodologies, and will be required to complete a research proposal and submit an application for ethics approval for a piece of research.
