ENAM12004 Dynamics

Course details

This course introduces students to the analysis of the behaviour of objects in motion. They explain the motion of objects and solve problems involving objects experiencing constant linear and angular acceleration, and constant force and torque; and apply principles of conservation of momentum and energy to solve problems involving moving objects and simple machines. Students solve problems involving friction, kinematics and dynamics, and oscillatory motion, forced vibration and resonance. They analyse static and dynamic balance of shafts and determine bearing reactions. They are required to develop a capacity to work and communicate ethically and professionally, as individuals and in teams, to investigate and solve problems and present solutions professionally.
