Course details

The effective development of people within the workplace is recognised as being critical to the ongoing sustainability of organisations. This course provides an understanding of the role of the human resource development (HRD) function in an organisation, as well as providing the underlying concepts and principles upon which HRD is based. It also provides students with the knowledge and skills to evaluate HRD needs, recommend appropriate interventions, and evaluate the outcomes. It also provides an overview of contemporary developments in the field of HRD, shows the links to other HR functions and the integration of HRD into broader management and organisational strategy.
