ESSC11001 Physical Activity, Fitness and Health

Course details

This course is designed so that students should be able to discuss the etiology of lifestyle-related diseases with a focus on physical activity and exercise as a prevention strategy. The course will present information relating to the physical and mental health benefits of physical activity, the fundamental knowledge and skills associated with measurement of physical activity and exercise for the purpose of health-related research/study, the factors that influence the physical activity habits of individuals and whole populations, and the modification of physical activity habits of individuals and whole populations.
