JOUR20016 Media and Communication

Course details

This course examines media presentation of science in commercial and public television and radio so that students understand the constraints of the medium in any presentation. Other media, such as press releases, advertising and brochures will be analysed so students will be able to script such material and have input into the overall design of the product. Collaborative practical work allows students to get experience in providing directions to other specialists (illustrators, for example) in the creation of media products.
