EDED12334 Teaching Aquatics

Course details

The course is designed to develop the student¿s teaching skills in swimming, life-saving and aquatic activities. Initial emphasis is on the development of skills in the four major strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, sidestroke and backstroke), life-saving and associated activities. Coaching techniques are also examined and attention is given to stroke analysis and training techniques. The recreational opportunities provided by aquatic environments are also examined.
