MUSC21003 Recording Project 1

Course details

The recording industry is a significant and influential part of the music industry. In this course students will be introduced to the processes associated with the recording process, including the role of the sound engineer and musicians, mixing and mastering concepts and common recording session practices. An understanding of these areas should be developed through preparing and participating in a recording project that will result in the production of a set of recordings of their own work and performances. The recording will include material composed by the student in the course Jazz Composition 1.
