NURS13120 Nursing Leadership

Course details

Students should be able to describe resource allocation in health care organisations, information technology used in nursing leadership roles and the maintenance of quality standards in health management.
This course focuses on leadership and management within the Australian health care system. Students should be able to critically analyse the management theories, leadership theories and the impact of these on the roles of those who are part of that system. Emphasis is on understanding and critiquing core concepts such as organisational structure and culture, organisational change and conflict resolution.
