Program Aim
The Bachelor of Music (Specialisation) is designed to provide specialist training in music theatre, classical, jazz and contemporary music performance and composition. Students are involved in a comprehensive conservatoire style environment with expectations of high standards of performance, musicianship and scholarship. A rigorous performance schedule in various University, community and professional settings is one of the strengths of this program. A range of adjunct courses give students the opportunity to add other allied skills such as arts and event management and music technology to their study program.
Program Structure
To qualify for the award of bachelor of Music (Specialisation) students must complete a total of 24 courses, 144 units of credit.
The schedule is designed for full-time students who usually enrol in 4 courses per term (24 units of credit). Part-time students should, therefore, modify the schedule to meet their own needs - observing all pre and co-requisite requirements.
