THTR12119 Theatre Studies 4

Course details

Through an examination of both Australian and global politics, students will consider how, through the agency of theatre, is able to be used as a device in incisive and/or rhetorical commentary for social change - and particular - how this is manifest in the creation and reception of theatre that challenges a particular political standpoint. Students should be able to articulate how theatrical outlets, including drama-in-education, theatre-in-education, and theatre for young audiences, use the agency of theatre for this purpose.
