ENAC12003 Applied Structural Analysis

Course details

Students develop knowledge of basic concepts of structures and how to analyse them. They analyse indeterminacy and stability of structures, determine support reactions and internal member forces resulting from given loads, and determines forces and displacements in simple beams. They explain applications of structural bracing and the use of structural analysis software. Students to learn to work autonomously and produce clear, professional documentation of the approach taken in analysis of a structural problem.

Distance education (FLEX) students will be required to have access to a computer and to make frequent use of the Internet.
