Course details
Students completing the 'Performance Studies' series of courses will participate in group practical music activities utilising their principal study instrument. Students completing the Performance Studies courses should develop the adjunct skills associated with public performance and professional promotion such as artistic direction, ensemble coordination, event management, and arts business skills. These courses aim to develop the highest possible interactive musicianship and ensemble performance skills as well as providing the student with varied opportunities for group musical expression. Students will have the opportunity to develop allied professional skills as well as general team-work and creative collaboration which are an important component of these suite of courses. Ensembles will be composed of appropriate student resources and may vary from term to term. Students are expected to demonstrate cumulative levels of skill and knowledge through this series of courses.
