ENAM12001 Bulk Handling Equipment

Course details

Students develop skills required to analyse the operation of bulk handling equipment and to maintain such equipment. Students explain the characteristics of bulk materials and their impact on storage and conveying systems. They determine loads on storage bins, determine hopper geometry and select feeder arrangements. Students explain the characteristics and operation of conveyors and determine requirements for effective operation of conveyors. Students are required to work autonomously produce clear, professional documentation of the approach taken in description and analysis of a bulk materials handling equipment.
Distance education (FLEX) students are required to have access to a computer and to make frequent use of the Internet.
