Course details

Professional Practice provides students with experience in a professional environment relevant to their chosen business specialty. The process of mixing study with practical experience helps students appreciate the relevance of material presented during discipline studies and allows them to further expand their professional knowledge with practical experience. Students reflect on their work placement experiences; assess professional growth, strengths and weaknesses and develop an action plan for future professional development. Students report upon their development of technical knowledge during the placement, describe roles, relationships, responsibilities and activities encountered in the business environment. Students are required to undertake a paid work placement that may require relocation of accommodation to suit their employment. The usual length of placement will be approximately 24 weeks in duration.
