Course details

Games and sports are key components within the Queensland Yrs 1-10 HPE KLA syllabus. Consequently, prospective Health and Physical Education teachers must possess an understanding of the origins of major games and sports, and an ability to construct and present learning experiences in this area to achieve syllabus core learning outcomes. This course addresses these requirements. Specific understanding in regards planning, organization, management, communication and inclusiveness for safe games and sports learning experiences are emphasized. Students will be required to complete two coaching awards.
