Course details

Honours consists of one full-time year of study made up of coursework, research and dissertation. The coursework component will constitute 50 per cent of the total assessment. The coursework is made up of studies in the discipline chosen including some theoretical content. Each component will constitute equally toward the overall assessment. The remaining 50 per cent of assessment will be a research project resulting in a dissertation. The dissertation will consist of a single piece of research scholarship of between 15000 and 25000 words of text, excluding appendices. The research or scholarly work will be conducted under the supervision of a member of the discipline staff on a topic which will be approved by the Faculty at the commencement of the Honours year.
